Introduction
This Privacy Policy applies to Find The Needle Wiki (“we”, “us”, “our”), a fan-made community wiki. We are not affiliated with Needless Games or Valve.
Information we collect
We collect minimal information to operate this wiki:
- Hosting data — our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may process technical request data such as IP addresses, browser details and requested URLs to deliver pages and keep the site secure.
- Local storage — a light or dark theme you choose is saved in your browser. Without a saved choice, the site follows your browser’s color preference.
We do not require registration, we do not collect account or payment details, and we do not load analytics or tracking scripts. Search runs in your browser and does not send your search terms anywhere.
Embedded video
Video covers are served from this site. The YouTube player loads from the privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com domain only after you click play. Playing a video sends information to YouTube under its own policies.
Third-party services
- CDN and hosting — to deliver content quickly and reliably.
- Embedded video — only after you choose to play it.
- External links — official and community links such as Steam and YouTube take you to services with their own data practices.
Email correspondence
If you email us, we receive your address and whatever you include so we can respond. Do not send passwords, payment details or other sensitive information. We do not sell correspondence.
Data sharing and security
We do not sell, trade or rent personal information. We use reasonable measures to protect data in transit, but no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
Your choices
- Clear this site’s local storage in your browser to remove a saved theme.
- Browse without playing embedded video, so no video provider is contacted.
- Ask us about information you have sent by email.
Children’s privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy if the site’s features or services change and revise the date shown at the top of this page.
